Fabriano in Watercolour 2025

After Bologna, which inaugurated the 2025 edition of the largest international event dedicated to watercolour art on paper, Fabriano in Acquarello, managed by the cultural association InArte, arrives in its hometown, which saw the birth of this event way back in 2010 as an experimental project. Widespread exhibitions, open-air painting, activities and musical moments bringing together the artistic languages ​​and different visual cultures of 88 nations will enliven Fabriano until June.

Until June 8, Zona Conce is hosting a rich selection of works by talented artists from all over the world, united by this common passion for a traditional but at the same time innovative artistic technique, which is watercolour. The event, now in its 16th edition, also represents an interesting opportunity to promote new talents, who will have the opportunity to make themselves known to the public of watercolour painting on paper. “This year, the watercolor chosen to represent the event deliberately breaks the mold,” emphasizes the curator and founder of the project, Anna Massinissa, “a symbolic act that looks to contemporary art and the creativity of the youngest. It is an opportunity to strengthen Fabriano’s role as the global capital of watercolor.”
