Angelo Mezzanotte. An envisioned life.

29 November 2024

Curated by Aurora Monachesi, the photographic exhibition is composed of sixty black & white and color shots, coming from Angelo Mezzanotte's Photographic Archive, with the desire to investigate the paths that characterized his life: an allegorical journey into the inner world of the artist, revealing his human sensitivity through photographic investigation into man and the majesty of nature.

A sense of journey and transformation transpires from many photographs. Men and women lashed by headwinds or immersed in solitude. Industrious hands capable of transforming matter into shape, intense gazes and smiles. Portraits with effective perspective cuts, mystical and ethereal landscapes, refined perspectives and masterly doses of colored surfaces.

«Photographers, especially street vendors, were once very suggestively called “pilgrims of the sun”. For my part, I think I have largely honored this name, until the curiosity for the new, for diversity, changed into the wonder of "rediscovery", making me see what I had until then only touched with my gaze. » -Angelo Mezzanotte

The exhibition will open on Saturday 14 December at 5pm and will remain open to the public until 26 January 2025.
